A 35-year-old Sarnia man accused of stealing from Walmart Supercentre is also facing a drug-related charge after he was allegedly found with 13 grams of suspected fentanyl.
Officers were called to the Quinn Drive shopping centre on Saturday, January 25, shortly after 1:30 p.m.
Sarnia police said the suspect concealed electronics in his clothing and left the store without attempting to pay for the items.
A Walmart employee gave police a detailed description of the suspect, who was later arrested on Barclay Drive.
During the arrest, officers seized the deadly drug along with small Ziploc bags and a digital scale.
The accused was charged with theft under $5,000 and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
City police said he was held for a bail hearing.
