Local curlers excel at Imperial Bonspiel

A team from the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club was crowned the winners of the 94th Imperial Bonspiel, held at the club over the weekend.

The rink is skipped by Dale Kelly, and also includes Don Bourque, Gary Pitre, and Brian Scott.

They defeated the team skipped by Tanner Nathan, also of the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club, in Sunday's championship match.

The event took place on January 24, 25 and 26, with 32 teams competing from across Ontario and Michigan.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
