Lambton OPP weekend in review

A 26-year-old man from Plympton-Wyoming is accused of damaging someone's vehicle over the weekend.

Lambton OPP said a mischief complaint was reported at a Niagara Street address on Sunday at around 12:45 a.m.

One person was arrested and charged with mischief and trespassing at night.

Police said the accused is set to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on March 18 in Sarnia.

A Corunna resident has temporarily lost his driving privileges after he was allegedly caught with a liquor container inside of his vehicle while stopped at a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint.

The vehicle was stopped on St. Clair Parkway in St. Clair Township on January 26, shortly after 8:30 p.m.

OPP said the 40-year-old driver was charged with operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), and driving a motor vehicle with liquor readily available.

He was issued a 90-day administrative driver's license suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on February 10 in Sarnia.

A 50-year-old Petrolia man has been charged with assault following a disturbance on Petrolia Line.

Lambton OPP was dispatched on January 24, shortly after 5:30 p.m. Police said one person sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

No other details about the incident were provided.

The accused was charged with assault and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. He was released from custody with a court date scheduled for March 10 in Sarnia.
