Teen charged with impaired driving in Port Franks crash

A teenager is accused of driving while impaired after a single-vehicle crash was reported in Port Franks on Tuesday.

Lambton OPP said the collision happened on Port Franks Estates Drive, near Clayton Street, at around 11:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

The driver, a 17-year-old from Lambton Shores, was arrested and charged with operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs, and operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The teen was issued a 90-day licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sania.

Provincial police are reminding residents to report suspicious or suspected impaired drivers by contacting OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
