Traffic at the Blue Water Bridge was snarled for nearly an hour on Tuesday afternoon, as crews worked to extinguish a transport truck fire.
At around 2:30 p.m., firefighters from Point Edward Fire and Rescue were called to the westbound lanes, where a red truck cab was in flames.
They were able to quickly contain the blaze, and prevent it from extending to the trailer.
Both the east and westbound lanes were temporarily closed as a precaution.
Traffic is now flowing normally, and no injuries were reported.
Fire crews remained on scene throughout the afternoon, as a precaution, to douse hotspots.
