Woman allegedly kidnapped in violent break and enter

A woman was allegedly kidnapped in a violent break and enter in Sarnia Friday, January 10.

Police were called to the area of Confederation Street and Stuart Street at around 1 p.m. when a 22-year-old woman ran up to a home, not dressed for the weather, indicating she had been kidnapped.

Investigators learned earlier in the day two men and a woman entered the victim's home, one of them armed with an axe.

Police allege the woman was assaulted and taken to a waiting vehicle driven by a third male, and held against her will.

Police said the woman was eventually released, and pushed out of the stopped vehicle, at which time she ran for help.

Officers arrested one person at a home on Brock Street where the suspect vehicle was found and seized.

Alexander Morningstar Hall, 30, of Petrolia, faces kidnapping and break and enter charges and was held for bail.

Sarnia police believe this was a targeted incident.

Members of the Criminal Investigations Division continue to investigate and further arrests and charges are expected.
