Lambton Mutual celebrating 150 years

It's a big anniversary for Lambton Mutual Insurance Company in 2025.

The company is celebrating its 150th anniversary.

President and CEO Deb Van Eyk said it is an important milestone.

"There's not too many companies that can boast the longevity of 150 years right here in Lambton County," she said.

Van Eyk said from the customers point of view, it is nice to deal with local agents.

"We have local adjusting staff members who are there to guide people through the process and our agents and brokers live and work right here in the community and they understand the economic environment of this particular area of the province.

To celebrate the company will be hosting an open house on Friday, September 12 at the East Lambton Community Complex in Watford.

Van Eyk said the company is also planning a variety of activities that will be released throughout 2025.

"We're doing five short video clips and we're interviewing former directors and policy holders that have had claims," she said.

The videos will be shared on social media.

Lambton Mutual has been in business since 1875 and provides home, auto, farm and small business insurance.
