Arrest made in break and enter

A 44-year-old man was arrested in connection to a January break and enter early Sunday morning.

Police said on January 12 officers were called to an apartment in the area of Cathcart Boulevard and Colborne Road.

The woman who lives in the apartment allegedly saw the man exiting her apartment, fleeing westbound on Colborne Road.

Police said the suspect allegedly stole her cell phone and prescription drug.

According to investigators, the man was in the building hours before entry.

Officers were able to positively identify the suspect because of security cameras but because he did not have a specific address a warrant was issued for his arrest.

At 4:20 a.m. Sunday police located the man at the intersection of London Road and Christina Street. He was then arrested.

The man was held for bail.
