Dog biting incident reported in Lambton Shores

Lambton Public Health (LPH) is asking for information about a large dog after a biting incident was reported in the Ipperwash Beach area of Lambton Shores on February 15.

The health unit said the incident happened at around 8:30 p.m. or 9 p.m. on East Parkway Drive.

The dog was described as resembling a mastiff and lab mix, with dark brown and black fur.

LPH said the dog was unaccompanied by an owner.

Anyone with information about the dog and its owner is asked to contact LPH at 519-383-8331 or toll-free 1-800-667-1839.

If the dog's health status is not verified, the victim will need to receive post-exposure rabies shots.
