Advance polls set to open this week

Advance voting opens exactly one week before the 44th Ontario general election.

There are seven advance polls in Sarnia-Lambton and eight locations in Lambton-Kent Middlesex.

Polls will be open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. beginning Thursday, February 20 until Saturday, February 22.

Those looking to cast their ballot early are reminded to bring along their identification and voter card.

If you were hoping to vote by mail, the deadline to register with Elections Ontario is at 6 p.m. on Friday, February 21.

In Sarnia-Lambton, there are nine candidates on the ballot, five in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.

To be eligible to vote you must be 18-years-old or older, a Canadian citizen and a resident of Ontario.

Voting day is February 27.
