Sarnia Sting fall to Firebirds in Flint

The Sarnia Sting dropped a 2-1 lead heading into the second period and went on to lose to the Firebirds in Flint Wednesday night.

Flint scored five unanswered goals for a 6-2 victory, their third in a row.

Lukas Fischer scored his 14th of the season for the Sting. Mitch Young scored the lone other goal for Sarnia.

Sting Goalie Nick Surzycia made 40 saves in net.

The Sting are sitting in ninth place in the OHL Western Conference Standings behind Owen Sound in eighth place.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
