Impaired charges laid in two separate crashes

Lambton OPP have made two impaired driving arrests after a pair of recent crashes.

The OPP were called on March 9, at around 1:45 a.m., to a two-vehicle crash on Broadway Street at Confederation Line in Plympton-Wyoming.

One person was treated for injuries on scene by Lambton EMS.

Police said a 26-year-old from Sarnia was charged with impaired operation, dangerous driving, and failure to remain.

On March 6, at around 9:50 p.m., the OPP were called to help Walpole Island Police after a car crashed into a ditch on High Banks Park Road and River Road.

No injuries were reported, but a 21-year-old from Walpole Island was charged with impaired operation and dangerous driving.

Both suspects were handed 90 day driver's licence suspensions, and had their vehicles impounded for seven days.

They were both released and have court appearances in April.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
