Sarnia shutout 5-0 in Windsor

The Sarnia Sting were shutout 5-0 in their final visit to Windsor in OHL action Thursday night.

After a scoreless first period, the Spitfires Noah Morneau scored a hat-trick in the second frame. AJ Spellacy and Ryan Abraham also scored for Windsor.

The Sting were outshot 30-21 in the loss.

Sarnia has its final home game of the season Friday night against the Flint Firebirds at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.

Sarnia is two points behind Owen Sound for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference with two games remaining.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
