North Middlesex break-in leads to Warwick search

A 29-year-old from Arkona has been charged in connection to a break and enter investigation in North Middlesex.

Middlesex OPP responded to the report of a break and enter on Sylvan Road just before noon on March 19.

Their investigation revealed two storage sheds had been forcefully entered during the overnight hours and approximately $10,000 worth of tools and a firearm were taken.

Members of the Elgin-Middlesex and Lambton Community Street Crime Unit, Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team and OPP Canine Unit executed a search warrant in Warwick Township on Friday, March 21.

Police said the stolen firearm and other property was recovered.

The accused was arrested and charged with break and enter, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a probation order and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
