Firefighters arrived just after 7 a.m. and found a garage engulfed in flames in the area of Russell Street North and Cobden Street.
The flames were quickly knocked down but there was some fire damage to a vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
Information on the cause or damage estimate was not immediately available.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
