Impaired driving charges laid in 402 crash

A single vehicle crash on Highway 402 in Warwick Township has led to impaired driving charges against a 30-year-old man.

Lambton OPP were called on March 30, just after 1 a.m., after a vehicle crashed into the centre median on the highway east of First School Road.

Police said no injuries were reported.

The accused is charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, and operation while impaired (blood alcohol concentration 80 plus).

Their driver's licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded for a week.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on May 19.

Use of force by Sarnia police steady year over year
