Brief period of freezing rain with minor ice accretion on some surfaces possible.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy, slippery and hazardous.

When:
Wednesday morning to early Wednesday evening.

Additional information:
A brief period of freezing rain is possible before a transition to rain. For locations near Lake Ontario, temperatures will likely remain above the freezing mark.

Rain, at times heavy. Total rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm. Locally higher amounts are possible if thunderstorms repeatedly impact the same area.

When:
Wednesday morning through early Thursday morning.

Rain begins Wednesday morning over extreme southwestern Ontario before reaching the Golden Horseshoe Wednesday afternoon. With thunderstorms expected, rainfall amounts may exceed 50 mm over some areas, particularly over southwestern Ontario. Rain will end from west to east overnight into early Thursday morning.

A single vehicle crash on Highway 402 in Warwick Township has led to impaired driving charges against a 30-year-old man.Lambton OPP were called on March 30, just after 1 a.m., after a vehicle crashed into the centre median on the highway east of First School Road.Police said no injuries were reported.The accused is charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, and operation while impaired (blood alcohol concentration 80 plus).Their driver's licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded for a week.The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on May 19.
