Brief period of freezing rain with minor ice accretion on some surfaces possible.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy, slippery and hazardous.

When:
Wednesday morning to early Wednesday evening.

Additional information:
A brief period of freezing rain is possible before a transition to rain. For locations near Lake Ontario, temperatures will likely remain above the freezing mark.

Rain, at times heavy. Total rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm. Locally higher amounts are possible if thunderstorms repeatedly impact the same area.

Wednesday morning through early Thursday morning.

Rain begins Wednesday morning over extreme southwestern Ontario before reaching the Golden Horseshoe Wednesday afternoon. With thunderstorms expected, rainfall amounts may exceed 50 mm over some areas, particularly over southwestern Ontario. Rain will end from west to east overnight into early Thursday morning.

Lambton OPP say no injuries were reported after a vehicle collided with a school bus on Monday morning in Plympton-Wyoming.Emergency crews were called to Fleming Road, north of Lakeshore Road, just after 7 a.m.Police said there were student passengers on the bus at the time, but everyone made it out safely.A 41-year-old Camlachie resident was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with careless driving.The OPP is reminding all drivers to slow down, be prepared to stop for school buses, always maintain a safe following distance and stay alert.Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Lambton OPP at 1-888-310-1122.Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
