Sarnia Home Show marks 41 years

Residents can check out home renovation and design ideas, as well as do-it-yourself projects during the 41st annual Sarnia Home Show.

The event will be held at Clearwater Arena from April 4 to April 6.

Admission is $10, kids aged 16 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.

The event will include door prizes and giveaways.

The Watson Timbermart booth will have a special kids workshop for children to build their own tool caddy on Saturday morning. Meanwhile, The Home Depot’s booth will be handing out free kid's aprons and take-home coin box kits from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday.

A full list of exhibitors can be found on the event's website, they include windows and doors, lawn care, paint, decks, kitchen designs, and roofing.

The event will also include seminars, focusing on cooking, gardening, cleaning, and interior design.

The home show will be held on Friday between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
