Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory for north and east Lambton County.
The national weather agency said local snowfall accumulations of five centimetres to 10 cm are forecast Monday evening through Tuesday morning.
Strong northwest winds gusting to 70 km/h combined with the falling snow are expected to reduce visibility in local blowing snow.
Flurries are expected to weaken Tuesday morning.
Residents are being told to prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
