A local author will host an event this weekend and donate the proceeds to charity.
Debbie Coughlan, of Corunna, said she'll be at The Book Keeper on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m.
"I'm doing a book launch of my book, so I'll be reading it in front of anybody that would like to come with their children or grandchildren," said Coughlan. "After the reading there will be snacks there. Some drinks and some goodies for the young and the young at heart."

"Oh Child, The Ways You Make Me Smile!," is Coughlan's second self published book.
"The book is fun-loving pictures with catchy rhymes, to show children that have never ending energy and enthusiasm, and an engaging love for life and for each other," she said.
Coughlan's first book called "Grandchild, When We See You Again" was written during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Proceeds from the sales of her books will be directed to the Inn of the Good Shepherd and River City Vineyard.
"It's very important for me, because I've been blessed and I'd like to help others," she said.
Coughlan, a mother of three and grandmother to seven, said her family inspired her to write the books.
