Police issue warrant for 18-year-old Sarnia man for two assaults

Sarnia police are looking for an 18 year old man wanted for two alleged assaults.

At around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, officers received multiple calls about a large brawl at the intersection of East Street South and Ross Avenue.

When they arrived, they found a person who had been sprayed with mace.

They also talked to a 36-year-old woman who claimed she saw the fight and attempted to intervene when she noticed her nephew. After jumping in, she stated she was struck in her face.

While still on scene, they heard screaming from a nearby residence and found a 17-year-old man suffering from a puncture injury to his upper arm. He claimed he was stabbed and struck with a baton-type weapon by the same person who hit the woman in the face.

After investigating, an arrest warrant has been issued for 18-year-old John Osborne-Walsh. He's been charged with assault, assault with a weapon, and failing to comply with probation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 519-344-8861 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
