One person has been sent to hospital as a precaution after a fire in Point Edward Monday afternoon.
Point Edward Fire and Rescue said that it happened at around 5 p.m. on Simpson Street near Christina Street North.
When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the main floor of the house. Firefighters entered and put out a fire in the kitchen.
A search of the house found no one inside, but one person was sent to Bluewater Health as a precaution. Other occupants were treated on the spot for smoke inhalation.
There is no word on a cause or a damage estimate.
