A Sarnia resident is facing an assortment of charges following a traffic stop on Wednesday.
Sarnia police were patrolling the area of Blackwell Road and Modeland Road at around 4 p.m. when they stopped a vehicle and clocked it going 108 kilometres per hour in a 50 kilometre-per-hour zone.
The officer soon determined that the driver was allegedly impaired and arrested him. Breath samples provided by the suspect showed that he was at double the legal limit.
The 49-year-old man is charged with impaired driving, driving with excessive blood alcohol, driving while prohibited, and breach of probation.
The driver was also charged with driving while suspended and stunt driving.
The charges have not been proven in court. The suspect was released on a police undertaking with a future court date.
Sarnia police seized the vehicle and impounded it for 45 days under the vehicle impoundment program.
