New paediatrician at Bluewater Health

A new paediatrician has joined the staff at Bluewater Health.

The hospital welcomes Dr. Hussain Alsaid Ahmad, who most recently practiced at the Moncton Hospital in New Brunswick and with Health PEI.

Dr. Ahmad completed his medical degree at Aleppo University in Syria, followed by paediatric training at Damascus University.

He then pursued a fellowship in Neonatal Perinatal Medicine at McMaster University.

“The main reason I chose to join Bluewater Health is the welcoming and supportive hospital staff and community,” said Dr. Ahmad in a news release. “In addition, there is a good balance between work and family – in other words, a good lifestyle balance with reasonable workload and a flexible schedule.”

In a news release, Bluewater Health Chief of Staff Dr. Mike Haddad said the hospital is very pleased to welcome him to the paediatric team.

“His specialized training and broad experience will strengthen the high-quality care we provide to children and families across Sarnia-Lambton," said Haddad.
