High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

You can expect partly cloudy in the morning, with rain in the afternoon

A 36-year-old man has been charged with allegedly causing a disturbance at the Sarnia Harbour.At around 1:50 p.m. on Sunday, police received a report of a potential altercation near the boat launch.When officers arrived, they found a shirtless man waving what appeared to be a long metal object. Police say the man was also flailing his arms, behaving erratically, and disturbing nearby people.When the man saw the police, he reportedly ran into a bush line before being found shortly after with help from a drone.He was arrested and charged with causing a disturbance and two counts of breaching probation.
