Two individuals are facing charges following a single-vehicle collision over the weekend.
Members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to Petrolia Line in Petrolia at around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.
According to police, the vehicle involved in the crash drove off immediately after the collision, but it was found a short time later in the ditch at the intersection of Petrolia Line and Plowing Match Road.
When police found the vehicle, no one was inside.
"The West Region OPP Canine Unit was deployed and successfully tracked and located two individuals nearby, who were identified as the vehicle's occupants," OPP said in a statement.
A 43-year-old from Sarnia and a 58-year-old of no fixed address were taken to hospital for minor injuries. Both have been charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
They were later released from police custody with an August 13 court date.
