Lambton County to collect household hazardous waste

Residents who need to get rid of hazardous waste can do so this weekend.

Items such as aerosols, propane cylinders, paints, and drain cleaners can be dropped off Saturday, June 21 at the Clean Harbors Lambton Facility in St. Clair Township.

There is no cost and it will be open from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Items that will not be accepted are radioactive wastes, tires, explosives, electronics, and asbestos.

Residents are asked to separate lithium batteries from all battery types before drop-off.

A full list of items that can be dropped off can be found on the county's website.

The next drop off event will be held on September 20.
