Overnight lows of 19 to 23 degrees Celsius, providing little relief from the heat.

Southern Ontario will experience hot and humid conditions now through much of this week. A shift in the weather pattern late this week will likely end this multi-day period of heat and humidity Thursday night.

Poor air quality is expected to persist through this afternoon due to a combination of smoke from forest fires and increasing of ground level zone.

As smoke levels increase, health risks increase. Limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

<p>The Sarnia Police Service is encouraging residents to lock their vehicles and not leave any valuables inside after an unknown suspect recently stole several items in the Rapids Parkway area.</p><p>Police said the suspect rummaged through five unlocked vehicles on July 10 and stole items such as sunglasses, cosmetics, gift cards, loose change, and a wallet that contained debit and credit cards.</p><p>One of the incidents was captured on video surveillance.</p><div data-youtube-video><iframe width="640" height="480" allowfullscreen="true" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ntWL9W5ME-g?si=8QpddiCYD2xKdLWw"></iframe></div><p>It's alleged the suspect then used the stolen debit/credit cards at the Northgate Car Wash and Circle K on Exmouth Street.</p><p>Sarnia police are asking for help in identifying the suspect.
