LPH seeks dog, owner after biting incident

Lambton Public Health (LPH) is appealing for information about a dog and its owner after the animal bit someone Monday.

The health unit said it happened at around 6:45 p.m. outside of Star Variety near the corner of Confederation Street and Lansdowne Avenue in Sarnia.

The dog is described as large, and brown in colour, resembling a boxer.

It was accompanied by a male owner that appeared to be around 40-years-old.

He's described as short with an average build, and was wearing a hat at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lambton Public Health at 519-383-8331 ext. 3533 or toll-free at 1-800-667-1839.

If the dog is not located and the health status of the animal verified, the victim will need to receive post exposure rabies shots.
