Revelree Music Festival aims to create a summer weekend experience

Canadian talent will be on full display at Canatara Park this weekend.

The fourth annual Revelree Music Festival kicks off Friday, July 11.

Festival Director Scott Palko said the two-day outdoor concert event at Canatara Park features 12 Canadian acts.

"Opening the festival is Luscious, a band out of Kingston, they were one of our Road to Revelree winners, so they're starting things off." said Palko. "A Short Walk To Pluto follows them, and then Sarnia legends The Action Figures then take the stage after that, Texas King after that and then JJ Wilde opens up for our headliners The Sheepdogs."

Saturday's lineup includes Sarnia's own From the Ceiling, Jeremy Voltz, Misty Blue, The Darcys, Beaudouin Soundclash and headliners The Strumbellas.

Lawn chairs are allowed in both general admission and VIP areas, there will also be a craft beer garden, free water stations and food.

"In addition to the music people have some games to play and stuff to do and sort of enjoy an all around afternoon," said Palko. "There are in-and-out privileges until 8 p.m. We recommend come see the earlier bands, there's some phenomenal artists and we want to support the emerging artists. But, if you want to come check them out and then take a bit of break and come back, you can come in and out until 8 p.m."

Palko said they're aiming to create an experience for concert goers.

"Come out and enjoy a beautiful setting," he said. "Come with your friends have some cold beverages and just like a great summer weekend of partying and enjoying music."

Concert goers are reminded that no coolers or backpacks are allowed, no pets and no umbrellas.

General admission tickets are $75.
