Man charged in Quinn Drive theft

A 31-year-old man was arrested in a theft at a store on Quinn Drive in Sarnia.

Police were called to a store on Wednesday, July 23 just before 11:30 a.m. for reports of a man taking two cordless tools and failing to pay for them.

Officers learned the man came back the day before allegedly stealing two other cordless items.

Police spotted a man matching the suspects description. He was approached and was advised he was under arrest.

The man took off but five minutes later he was arrested when additional officers were called to help.

He was charged two counts of theft under $5,000, breach of probation and resist peace officer.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
