Sarnia Fire and Rescue Services continues to investigate the cause of a weekend apartment fire.
The blaze broke out on Devine Street, between East Street South and Indian Road, on Saturday.
Fire Life Safety Educator Mike Otis said they responded at mid-afternoon.
"The structure fire in the 800 block of Devine, came in at 2:54 p.m. on July 26," said Otis. "[There was] a standard response of three stations. [There was] heavy fire when we arrived. We attacked it from both the exterior and the interior."
Otis said damage is estimated at $50,000.
"It's just with all the smoke damage and the contents of the bedroom are totally destroyed. There was a lot of heat in the bedroom," Otis said.
He said the building was evacuated and no injuries were reported.
Sarnia police were also investigating the fire.
