Rock the Boat to cruise St. Clair River

Tickets are still available for Friday's Rock The Boat fundraiser, held in support of pancreatic cancer awareness.

The third annual event will be held on August 1, with two cruises scheduled on the Duc D'Orleans.

Both cruises along the St. Clair River will feature live music from Retrospect.

The afternoon cruise is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and is an all ages event. The evening cruise, from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m., will be for those 19 and older.

After the cruises, the party will continue at the Sarnia Legion from 7 p.m. until close with live music by CD/DC.

However, the cruise and legion events require separate ticket purchases.

"Each ticket doesn't just get you great entertainment but you're helping pancreatic cancer awareness and that's the most important part of this whole thing," said Spokesperson Dean Sowinski.

Sowinski said there will be giveaways and a chance to win prizes at the legion as well.

Tickets can be purchased online at https://firstfriday.ca.

Donations can also be made online to support early detection and treatment for pancreatic cancer.
