Patrols lead to drug charges

A 36-year-old man faces drug charges following a community concern about drug use and anti-social behaviour.

Sarnia police were called to the intersection of Confederation Street and Indian Road South on Saturday, August 2 at just after 3:45 p.m.

Police found the man lying down with his head on a black suitcase, holding a guitar and drug paraphernalia at his side.

The paraphernalia allegedly had a pipe attached to it with visible residue.

Police searched the man prior to his arrest and found additional drug paraphernalia, 11.15 grams of suspected Fentanyl and 2.41 grams of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine.

He was held for bail but was later released.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
