OPP probe another coin machine theft in Petrolia

Lambton OPP are investigating another theft from a coin machine in Petrolia.

This one happened on July 17, at around 3:20 a.m. at a business on King Street.

Police said the suspect, who was on a bicycle, entered the property and caused damage to a change machine and proceeded to steal approximately $3,000.

They fled the scene immediately after the incident.

The suspect is described as having a dark brown and white goatee, and was carrying a black backpack with a beige diamond patch.

He was wearing brown cargo style pants, a black hooded sweater with green t-shirt over top, and black shoes.

The OPP previously released information about a similar incident that happened on July 24 at a Robert Street business in Petrolia.

Police weren't able to specify whether the two incidents were connected.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
