Brigade representing Ontario at 22U National Championship

The Sarnia 22U Brigade are representing Team Ontario in the 'A' Pool at the National Championships in Dartmouth, NS.

The tournament runs from Thursday to Sunday.

In their opening game on Thursday, they lost 7-0 to Manitoba.

They also had contests scheduled for 6:30 p.m. (EST) Thursday against host Nova Scotia, 12:30 p.m. Friday against New Bruinswick, and 8 a.m. Saturday against the other Ontario squad.

If the 22U Brigade win their pool, they'll earn a bye into Sunday's semifinals.

The second and third place teams in each pool will compete in the quarterfinals while the bottom teams will be eliminated.

The Brigade advanced to the 22U national championships after going a perfect 6-0 and winning the Ontario AAA elimination tournament.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
