Big Squeeze raises over $40K for local youth

It was the sweetest Big Squeeze yet.

The fifth annual fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton collected $44,200.27, surpassing last year's total of just over $31,000.

Imperial City Brew House beat out over 60 businesses across Sarnia-Lambton for the title of Best Lemonade.

Auto House Honda raised the most money on Wednesday with a total $2,600.

The award for Best Lemonade Stand went to Mainstreet Credit Union.

The full list of winners for Big Squeeze 2025 is posted on the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton Facebook page.

Organizers are already planning for next year's fundraiser scheduled for August 5, 2026.

The local children's agency served over 750 kids last year, and has over 100 on a waiting list for the one-to-one mentoring program.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
