Games, food and hoops on tap for Family Fun Fair

Local ballers will be lacing up on Saturday for Sarnia's first annual Family Fun Fair and Charity 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament.

The free event at Lambton College features several local vendors, carnival games, inflatables, mini putt and food.

Over 40 teams are participating in the 3-on-3 tournament in support of SickKids Foundation and local youth programs.

Doors open at 9 a.m.

The event is being organized by Mastermind Youth Foundation, a local Sarnia not-for-profit, in partnership with Team Addy 3x3.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
