A month long extortion investigation has led to the arrest of a 22-year-old Sarnia man.
Police said in early July a man came forward claiming he was being extorted by an unknown individual.
The male victim was allegedly receiving phone calls and text messages containing threats of sexual assault, murder and dismemberment.
Investigators allege the victim then began receiving photos of deceased individuals, assault-style firearms and masked individuals holding weapons.
Demands were allegedly made for $7,000.
Police said the suspect threatened the victim with personal information from his participation on the internet.
On Thursday, August 7 officers executed a warrant at an Emma Street home for firearms and physical and electronic evidence.
The warrant was executed by the Emergency Response Team (ERT) because of the violent nature of the threats.
Styles Greenbird is charged with extortion, uttering threats causing death and bodily harm and breach of probation.
He was held for bail but released with conditions.
