A 34-year-old man has been charged after allegedly threatening staff at a Sarnia shelter.
On Friday, police were called to the shelter on Exmouth Street after being told that a man became aggressive in separate incidents after staff couldn't find his missing shorts.
The man was reportedly verbally aggressive during the first incident; however, he allegedly tried breaking through the shelter's glass doors during the second incident.
Staff at the shelter identified the man, with police later finding him in a motel room. Police say he refused to come out, forcing them to break through the room's door.
The man was arrested and charged with assault, criminal harassment, and breaching probation.
He remains in police custody awaiting bail in a separate incident.
According to police, this is the 10th time the man has been arrested since August 2024.
