Residents are getting ready to bid farewell to the Shetland Library.
In April, it was announced it would be closing at the end of August because of the inability to renovate the physical space to meet accessibility standards.
A joint decision was made by Dawn-Euphemia Township and Lambton County councils to make enhancements at Florence Library.

Additionally, in June, it was announced the hours would be extended because of the closure.
A farewell open house will be held from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13.
Residents are invited to the Shetland Library for light refreshments and to share memories.
The final day is on Friday, August 29 and the new hours at the Florence Library will start on Monday, September 1.
