Lambton Public Health (LPH) is appealing to the public for information about a dog and its owner following a biting incident.
The health unit said it happened at around 8:25 a.m. on Friday, August 8 in the Purdy's Fish Market parking lot on River Front Street.
The dog is described as a large German Shepherd and was accompanied by a man who appeared to be in his mid-50s.
LPH said he was driving a small, silver hatchback.
Anyone with information about the location of the dog and its owner is asked to contact the health unit at 519-383-8331 extension 3533 or toll-free at 1-800-667-1839.
If the dog is not found and the health status is not verified, the victim will need to receive post exposure rabies shots.
