Drugs, cash seized in police search of suspicious men

Sarnia police seized $3,438 worth of drugs on Wednesday morning after officers spotted a pair of men they deemed suspicious.

Police said the duo was seen acting suspiciously in the parking lot of a motel on London Line in Sarnia. Officers arrested the men after determining that they were both wanted on arrest warrants, one by London police and the other by Windsor police.

According to police, a search of the men, during their arrest, turned up drugs, including fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, and hydromorphone. Several cell phones and $2,800 in cash were also found.

A 27-year-old man was turned over to the London Police Service for a warrant that included a robbery charge.

A 34-year-old man was held for bail by Sarnia police. He faces multiple drug possession charges, one count of possessing property obtained by crime, and two counts of failing to comply with probation.
