Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are continuing to enforce safe driving habits along Highway 402.
As part of Operation Safe Approach, Lambton OPP officers along with the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team, conducted a traffic stop of a commercial motor vehicle on the westbound highway at around 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
A 31-year-old driver from Kitchener was charged with failing to properly record duty status changes and unnecessary slow driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
About 30 minutes prior, police had stopped another westbound transport truck.
A 40-year-old driver from Brampton was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with failing to properly record duty status changes and unnecessary slow driving.
Lambton OPP launched the enforcement initiative, focused on unsafe and illegal driving behaviours, earlier this month.
