Susan Aglukark to make book tour stop in Sarnia

Juno award winning artist and Indigenous advocate Susan Aglukark will be showcasing her latest project book during a stop in Sarnia.

Her book, titled 'Kihiani: A Memoir of Healing', goes on sale on Tuesday, September 2.

It tells the story of Aglukark's journey from her birthplace in Churchill, Manitoba to her breakthrough album This Child released in 1995, to her work with non-profit groups supporting aboriginal and Inuit youth.

Aglukark will be at the Sarnia Library Theatre on Monday, September 8 for a talk and book signing.

Tickets are $10 and available at the Book Keeper in Northgate Plaza, or through the book stores website.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
