Sarnia police say a 23-year-old woman faces charges after a stabbing left a man with life-threatening injuries.
Around 10:50 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, police were called to Sutton Street near Campbell Street.
Investigators learned that a physical altercation had begun between two people, when a knife was drawn and a third person was stabbed.
Police said the victim was wounded in his lower abdomen and taken to hospital. The victim required surgery but is classified as being in stable condition.
Police allege the woman hid the knife and fled the area.
She made arrangements later to turn herself in.
Rebecca Henry of Sarnia is charged with aggravated assault.
City police said this is Henry's 26th interaction with police since September 2024.
