Canatara Beach - June 22/25 (Sarnia News Today photo by Stephanie Chaves)The Lake Huron Coastal Centre will host its First of Fall Beach Clean-Up in Sarnia this weekend.
Volunteers are asked to meet at Canatara Beach, parking near the public washrooms, with water, closed toe shoes, a bucket and gloves.
The event on Saturday, September 20 goes from at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
It was so successful last year, 165 volunteers participated and about 175 pounds of garbage was collected.
According to police, the man had previously been banned from the property after allegedly threatening and harassing staff members.
The event, dubbed a 'Pyjamaganza', is scheduled to take place on Sunday at Mike Weir Park in Bright's Grove.
Jagjit Singh is charged with sexual interference and sexual assault and was remanded into custody following a bail hearing.
