Ministry of Labour investigating sudden death in Forest

The Ministry of Labour is investigating a construction accident in Forest that claimed the life of a 26-year-old from Mexico.

Lambton OPP said officers were called to King Street West at around 6:20 p.m. Thursday after someone suffered life-threatening injuries.

The individual was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.

Police said the death is not considered suspicious.

Members of the OPP Forensic Identification Services and the Office of the Chief Coroner attended the scene.

Sarnia News Today reached out to the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development. In an emailed response, the ministry said an inspector was assigned to investigate, but as the investigation is ongoing, no further details can be provided at this time.
