Shelter-in-place order lifted in Kettle Point

The Lambton Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police has lifted a shelter-in-place order after arresting an armed suspect in Kettle Point.

The shelter-in-place order was implemented around 10:25 a.m. on Saturday. The arrest was shortly after.

The public can go about its business, but a heavy police presence will remain in the area, and Lake Road and Centre Side Road will remain closed for the investigation.

The OPP hasn't released any other information at this time, but said it will have more to say about the incident in a later release.
