Pathways invites you to 'The Big Sing Thing'

Pathways Health Centre for Children is inviting you to a one-of-a-kind, interactive musical experience to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

Chief Executive Officer Alison Morrison said "The Big Sing Thing" will be held in the Great Lakes Secondary School Auditorium (GLSS) on October 18, at 7:30 p.m.

"Reaching out to some friends in the music business, Mark Payne and Pat Morrison helped us conceptualize an evening where the audience becomes the choir, and to what better music than The Beatles," Morrison said.

Payne is the musical director and Morrison is the sound director at Victoria Playhouse Petrolia.

"Everybody who's there will be able to share their voices from their seat, not needing to come up on the stage, but singing along with lyrics that will be projected and, of course, with the musical guidance of Mark and Pat and other musicians from this community that will lead the choir," she said.

Morrison said no experience is needed and they don't plan on putting the spotlight on anyone, it's "more of a sing-a-long."

"We'd love to see between 300 and 500 folks there and tickets are available now on our website," Morrison said.

Morrison said if you don't want to sing, you can still come and enjoy the music -- which will include some special performances.

Tickets are $30 per person and all proceeds go directly to Pathways.
